Not Fade Away

An RLTV Special Presentation

A vibrant 45-year old woman finds herself increasingly struggling to remember familiar tasks, uncertain why her memory is fading away. Could she be suffering from a condition most of us attribute to old age? While there have been significant advances in understanding memory disorders like Alzheimer’s, the scientific community continues to face challenges.

“Not Fade Away” chronicles the issues facing patients, families and researchers, sharing fresh insight into the world of those afflicted with Alzheimer’s. Never before has a documentary sought to unveil “what it feels like” to have the disease.

Equally important, this original program from RLTV shares some of the latest findings in the search for answers. Highlights include the groundbreaking work underway at the Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute. Scientists there believe they have discovered a biomarker for early detection of Alzheimer’s and are especially excited about a drug they are studying which appears to have the remarkable power to regenerate neuron growth.

There is reason for hope, and experts believe there are steps we can take now to prevent the loss of cognitive functioning later in life. Find out what you can do to keep your memory from fading away.
