Linda Gray
Linda Gray is an award winning actress, an accomplished director, a former United Nations Ambassador and one of the world’s most recognized and admired stars.
Her award winning portrayal of ‘Sue Ellen’, in the TV series “Dallas”, brought her international fame and critical acclaim earning her an Emmy nomination for Best Actress and numerous international awards including Germany’s Bambi Award, Italy’s Il Gato for Best Actress on Television and she was voted ‘Woman of the Year’ by the Hollywood Radio & Television Society. After eleven years on American television, “Dallas” is still in syndication around the world. It was during this time that Linda made her directorial debut on “Dallas”, gaining experience working as a director on the show.
Linda has completed filming the pilot episode of the new TV series, “Dallas – The New Generation”, and continues filming the series which will air summer 2012 on TNT, revising her role as “Sue Ellen.” She recently filmed an independent movie in Greece, “The Flight of the Swan”, and stars in the family film “A Very Mary Christmas” which will air on TV November 2011. She has just filmed in Mexico, a drama, “Hidden Moon”, for release next year.
She appeared on stage in England in the original stage production of “Terms of Endearment”, based on the screenplay of the Oscar winning motion picture, and also starred in the West End production of “The Graduate” playing to sell-out audiences, and replaced Kathleen Turner on Broadway for a limited engagement.
Linda made her theater directing debut with “Murder in the First”, and other stage work includes roles in “The Vagina Monologues”, “Agnes of God”, “Love Letters” and “Bette Davis Speaks”, which she also co-produced. She has numerous TV credits including the successful series “Melrose Place” and “Models Inc.” and has starred in many movies of the week. Linda has her own production company and is in pre-production on an original film and will mark her motion picture directorial debut on this project.
Mariette Hartley
Emmy Award winning actress Mariette Hartley is recognized as one of the most versatile actresses in the industry through her impressive career in television, film and theater. Currently recurring on “Law and Order: SVU” Hartley has also recurred on the FX series “Dirt,” and has appeared in dozens of television shows from “The Cleaner”, “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Saving Grace” to “M*A*S*H” and “The Incredible Hulk.” She has starred in movies of the week such as “Silence of the Heart” and “MADD: The Candy Lightner Story.” A three-time Clio Award winner for her Polaroid commercials with James Garner, she also hosted the CBS Morning Program, nine seasons of the series “Healthy Solutions” and is currently hosting her tenth season of “Wild About Animals.”
Hartley’s recent stage appearances include starring roles in the Broadway production of “Cabaret” and the Pasadena Playhouse production of “Enchanted April.” She starred in the national tour of the award winning play “Copenhagen” which earned her a Helen Hayes Award and the League of American Theatres and Producers National Touring Broadway Award .
One of the country’s foremost advocates for the mentally ill, she is the national spokesperson for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, which honored her with its Humanitarian Award for her outstanding work in the field of suicide prevention and research.
For her involvement with organizations combining mental illness and her commitment to creating public awareness and understanding about this illness, she was honored by the Southern California Counseling Center, and received the PSYCHE Award from the L.A. County Psychological Association. She was also the first recipient of the California Family Studies Center “Life Achievement Award” for her strength and ability to overcome family difficulties and received an honorary doctorate from Ryder College. Additionally, she received the Woman of Achievement Award from the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai Brith. She was the recipient of the 1997 Silver Ribbon Award from the University of California at Irvine’s Brain Imaging Center Committee and has served on the Board of Directors of the Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Center.
Mariette Hartley is also involved with the Center to Prevent Handgun Violence, SOJOURN, M.A.D.D., and she hosted an educational video entitled “How To Stop The One You Love From Drinking And Using Drugs,” which is part of Paramount Home Video’s ongoing “Strong Families, Safe Families” series. She was also named Outstanding Mother of the Year by the National Mother’s Day committee, in Washington D.C.
Her autobiography, “Breaking The Silence” published by Putnam was a best seller in hard cover and paperback and has just been reissued in paperback. Because of her candor and humor, she is now one of the most highly sought-after motivational speakers in the country. Hartley’s accomplishments were recognized with the installation of her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
